Automated Parking System Installation Timeline
Buyers often ask for a single number of weeks from order to first parked car. On export mechanical parking projects, duration is a phase checklist shaped by configuration, destination logistics and whether civil works are ready — not a fixed guarantee on a brochure.
This page aligns with AutoSpaceFlow’s published importer roadmap: engineering and CAD, manufacturing, packing and export, sea freight and clearance, client-side civil works, then installation, commissioning and handover. Ranges below are indicative; the final programme is confirmed on the project datasheet and against site readiness.
Starting point
Send site dimensions or a floor plan and we target a preliminary layout within 48 business hours when the information package is complete. See the 48h CAD layout process and the full import from China guide for CE, packing and EPC scope split.
Six phases at a glance
The sequence matches the six-step import roadmap used for equipment leaving Shanghai. Manufacturer, local partner and client responsibilities for each stage are tabulated on the EPC scope section of the import guide.
Phase 1: Engineering & CAD
Exchange site plans, dimensions and vehicle requirements. Engineers produce a preliminary layout for capacity and ceiling clearance, then finalize the SKU (for example PSH vs PJS). When site data is complete, AutoSpaceFlow targets a preliminary recommendation within 48 business hours — a feasibility layout, not a final construction drawing.
Phase 2: Manufacturing
After contract and deposit, production begins. Published typical manufacturing windows on this site are 45–90 days in the import roadmap, about 90 days as a common reference for large-scale PSH systems, and roughly 2–3 months in the importer FAQ. Exact duration depends on configuration, volume and steel/motor procurement — confirm on the project schedule, not as a catalogue promise.
Phase 3: QC, packing & export
Pre-shipment inspection (by the buyer team or a third party such as SGS/TÜV) verifies weld quality and agreed compliance documents. Equipment ships knock-down (KD) in 40HQ containers from Shanghai; AutoSpaceFlow handles export customs and loading. Sensitive hydraulics and PLCs go in fumigated, moisture-protected crates.
Phase 4: Sea freight & import clearance
The importer or broker handles destination customs and port drayage. The importer FAQ frames sea freight as roughly one month within a typical 5–7 month order-to-parking path — voyage time still varies by route and season, so treat that as an indicative window and confirm against the booking.
Phase 5: Civil works (usually client / EPC)
AutoSpaceFlow issues foundation load and interface requirements from the approved CAD. Pit or slab, drainage and power to the isolator sit with the client or EPC. Installation and commissioning clocks assume foundations and utilities are ready before equipment assembly starts.
Phase 6: Installation, commissioning & handover
International projects commonly use manufacturer supervision plus local labour: AutoSpaceFlow can send a senior engineer (published guidance: about 14–21 days on site) while the buyer provides a local crew (about 4–6 skilled mechanical workers), lifting equipment and site access. Final load testing, operator training, O&M manuals and spare-parts lists complete handover. Warranty timing is tied to handover rather than shipment.
Typical windows already published on this site
| Item | Published typical window | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Preliminary CAD | 48 business hours | When site data is complete; feasibility layout, not IFC drawings |
| Manufacturing | 45–90 days · ~90 days (large PSH) · ~2–3 months (FAQ) | Same process described three ways — confirm per order |
| Order to parking (importer FAQ) | About 5–7 months | Includes manufacture, shipping, customs, civil and install |
| On-site senior engineer | About 14–21 days | Supervision model; local crew still required |
| Local crew size | About 4–6 skilled mechanical workers | Plus crane / forklift and site power |
| Vietnam PSH reference | ~ two weeks assemble + commission | Single project record with foundations ready beforehand |
Do not treat SEO or brochure “day ranges” that are not listed above as commitments. Ask for the project Gantt once CAD and Incoterms are fixed.
Supervision model: who does what on site
What we provide
- • Detailed 3D installation manual
- • Circuit diagrams and PLC logic maps
- • On-site senior engineer (about 14–21 days) or remote supervision
- • Final load testing and certification assistance
- • Operator training, O&M manual and spare-parts list
What you provide
- • Local crew (about 4–6 skilled mechanical workers)
- • Lifting equipment (forklifts / crane)
- • Electrical supply to the control cabinet
- • Base foundation per the approved CAD drawing
- • Site access, permits and programme ownership
AutoSpaceFlow does not act as the main contractor in overseas markets and does not subcontract civil works. Projects that need a single contractual point of responsibility usually pair a local EPC with our equipment and engineering scope — described further on Engineering & project support.
Product pages for schedule inputs
Level count, vehicle envelope and whether the layout is above-ground or pit change both manufacturing content and on-site hours. Specs live on the model pages; the commercial category hub is puzzle parking system.
- →PSH puzzle parking — multi-level lift-and-slide grids
- →PJS stacker parking lift — two-level vertical stacker
- →Vietnam PSH delivery — packing evidence and the ~two-week ready-site reference
